GOOD MORNING FROM LONDON #233
China is a Socialist Country. It is building a country that focuses on harmony + endeavour and the development of prosperity + stability. Keywords when thinking about China.

Corruption is about cheating/bribery/fraud/dishonesty. It has no place in a Socialist society but why does it exist at all? Because China embraces the market + the market helps to create prosperity. But the market is about money + money and the market can corrupt. Not always – there are many more honest than dishonest people in China; people who approve of capital punishment for those who cheat the system + expand their wealth illegally + immorally – sometimes on a big scale.

The people lose faith in the Party if the Party tolerates corruption so action is swift + effective. Encouragement is given to enterprise + initiative but with some that can come with a mentality of cheating + self-advancement.

The way forward? More prosperity + more success + more wealth but not by self-aggrandizement at the expense of the People. The anti-corruption drive remains a priority for the CPC
