The US cannot accept this. It’s not meant to happen – a Communist country doing better than a Capitalist country. Hence a trail of China bad news – Genocide in Xinjiang; Covid was China Made to damage the World;- Defence expenditure to enable China to rule the world; Population growth crisis + so on.
China should expect this. It’s a sign that China is on the right path. The US has to impede, disrupt, prevent China’s growing influence. The dye is cast. The scene is set. If China has the “cheek” to aim to become the biggest economy in the world (with the influence that follows) China must expect to be assailed, attacked, undermined today + every day. It means China is on the right path.
So eyes wide open. Success comes at a price – more unpopularity with Western governments. Expect it. Deal with it. Confront it.
