The World is More Insecure – not More Stable

As the end of 2020 approaches, is the World safer and more durable looking forward? Many people want to think so because Biden beat Trump. But the World is more fragile not more secure

Consider the following;-
Trump won 47% of the vote. Come 2022 mid term elections Trump’s Republicans are predicted to win back their majority in the Senate. They already have control of the Supreme Court and the Court system at all levels of the Judiciary as political appointees were made to the large number of local courts. The Republican Party has moved decisively to the Right – as have the American people – and this tide will undermine the Democrat Administration. The World is more vulnerable.

All the more reason for China to stay alert and continue as a force for stability and continuity in a fast changing world. China needs to stay vigilant and prepare for more challenges in Xinjiang, Tibet, the China-India border, in the S China Sea. The US will not allow its No 1 role in the world to be challenged. The Thucydides Principle Lives. We all need to be alert.
