There is a context – it ends with the Uyghurs but it starts with the West’s growing realisation that China is unstoppable. The West “got China very wrong”.
China was meant to fail. After all, it was just like the USSR and the USSR crumbled + collapsed. China will go the same way. Communism does not work. In the long term it will collapse under the weight of its inability to deliver rising living standards to its people. That was the West’s thinking.
But the West allowed prejudice to blur its judgment. China is succeeding. So now the Genocide allegations – which are untrue but more about that later – are the full-frontal blitz designed to repel China’s advance.
The West knows how to attack but China knows how to defend.
We are set for a new and long Cold War.
